Starting off on the right foot is important for any project. Whether you're building a new home, developing commercial property, altering an existing service or installing a mobile home, PLC's Engineering Services can guide you through our requirements and help you avoid those unwanted problems. We will be there to help you plan your project all the way through when you are ready to connect your new service.
PLC requires an application, L&I permit and inspection and verification of L&I compliance prior to energizing these services.

Temporary Service
Temporary
services are used for construction purposes only. Once
the construction project is completed, the service will need to
be disconnected and removed. This service is not intended to be
used for RV's, pumps, etc. The electrical permit for a temporary
service expires 12 months after the issue date.

New Service
PLC
requires that all new permanent services be installed underground.
This service standard is part of our efforts to underground our
distribution system and increase power reliability. All service
conductors must now be installed in conduit. The conduit increases
cable life expectancy and allows us to pull new cable if the existing
cable fails. Requirements for meter base locations, conductor sizing
and length of service must be adhered to. SEE
